Collage of photos of Jade Langton Evans and her family

The artist

My favourite things include reading, painting wall murals, eating (especially roast dinners with Yorkshire puddings!) I love cake and homemade pancakes and have a very sweet tooth. I love afternoon naps and walking in the rain in my wellies. I love just being with my family and especially Crazy dancing with my little boy in my living room. I love people watching and thinking about what their story entails. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature and love the stillness that teaches me not to be too busy to not take notice of living in the moment. I love to play the piano especially Ludovico Einaudi.

What matters most to me is that I spend each day doing what I love with the people I love. It is the simple beauties in life which make me happy and full of gratitude each day. Becoming a mother in 2014 changed my focus to putting my energy into being more present in the moment. As a creative artist, it has given me the greatest inspiration. My most treasured moments are spent laughing, eating good food, enjoying each day with my family and friends and simply being happy.

Jade Langton Evans Photography was established in 2011. Based in Shropshire but travelling all over the UK.

My focus being Families, this includes documenting your beautiful every day as well as special events such as Weddings, Birth, early days as your family grows together. I am a people person. I love talking to people and hearing about their lives. People are so interesting and I have always loved to meet new people and build relationships with them wherever I am. It is the connections that I have with people that inspire me to make honest photographs and capture their legacy. I love my family and I truly love the families that I spend time with and building connections with.

I believe with all of my heart that family is the most important reason we are here. Children give us a huge purpose, they are wonderful and as I interact with them I see what life is all about. They are full of wonder and delight and hold the real treasures of this world.

As we simplify our lives and focus on what is important I see that it is the relationships that we build and the memories that we make that matter most and that is why I love photography - it is the capture that feeling long after we may forget it.

Great photographs help us to remember how we felt.
